Kodak announced on August 1 that it has signed an agreement with Singapore-based Flextronics, whereby Flextronics will manufacture, assemble, and test Kodak's digital still cameras. Flextronics will also acquire Kodak's Digital Product Center in Chino and Yokohama of Japan, as well as Shanghai-based Kodak Electronics Products. Kodak stated that it will retain its intellectual property rights, patents, and trademarks. The agreement is expected to be finalized in the third quarter of 2006.
